Job Summary
Envergia is looking to strengthen its Li-Ion Battery Materials trading team with an experienced Senior Trader. This role is critical in expanding our market presence and securing profitable deals within the Li-Ion battery materials sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead third-party trading of Li-Ion raw materials, including Black Mass, Cathode, Graphite, EV Packs/Modules, and manufacturing waste streams (e.g., Cathode & Anode foil, cells, stacks, shredded fraction, off-spec modules/packs).
- Utilize deep market knowledge, negotiation skills, and industry connections to secure profitable deals and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and clients.
- Conduct comprehensive research on the global Li-Ion battery supply chain, focusing on market trends, supply and demand dynamics, and price fluctuations for raw materials.
- Source and identify potential suppliers and buyers for recovered Li-Ion raw materials.
- Assess and manage risks associated with Li-Ion battery materials trading, including credit risks, market volatility, and supply disruptions.
Key Qualifications/Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in trading Li-Ion batteries, critical metals, or precious metals.
- A transferable trade book with established clients across the Li-Ion raw material supply chain.
- Demonstrable knowledge of the global Li-Ion battery materials markets and raw materials supply chains.
- Proficiency in risk management and a strategic approach to trading activities.
- Based in the USA, EU, or UK.
